WEBSITE REDESIGN ASPLEY
Your business has grown.
Let your website catch up.
I’m Lauren, a WordPress website designer in Aspley, Brisbane. I help small business owners rethink an existing website with care for the work already invested in it and a clear plan for what needs to change.

A THOUGHTFUL STARTING POINT
Refresh the right things.
Keep what still serves you.
An older website does not always need to be replaced completely. Sometimes the main issue is unclear copy, inconsistent styling or a contact path that is difficult to find. Sometimes the structure and platform are holding the business back. We start by looking at what visitors need and what your current site can support.
Tell me what you like, what frustrates you and what has changed in your business. I’ll help you separate the useful parts from the areas that need attention, then discuss whether a focused refresh or a fuller WordPress rebuild makes more sense. The scope comes from your situation.
WHEN A REDESIGN MAY HELP
A website that reflects
where you are now.
Your services have changed
Customers may be seeing an old version of your business. We can review how your services are grouped, which pages need updating and whether the website explains the work you most want to do.
Your visitors get stuck
Important information may be hard to find, layouts may feel crowded on a phone, or the next step may be unclear. A redesign can address those practical problems alongside the visual style.
Your brand no longer fits
A new direction, audience or identity may need to be carried through the website. We can retain recognisable elements and connect the updated design with any agreed brand work.
PLAN BEFORE REBUILDING
Look beneath the surface.
Make considered decisions.
Content worth keeping
Your existing pages may already answer useful questions, show your experience or help people find you. We review what should stay, what needs rewriting and what is missing. If you have search or enquiry data, it can inform those decisions; a visual refresh alone cannot tell us what is performing.
Links and search continuity
When a page address changes, visitors and search engines need a sensible route to the replacement. We discuss a URL plan and any redirects within the project scope. Titles, descriptions, internal links and key page checks are part of the search work we agree before launch.
Features and ongoing costs
Booking systems, enquiry forms, online shops, courses and email tools all affect the scope. We identify the connections you rely on and discuss what can be retained or replaced. Domain, hosting, software licences and maintenance arrangements need to be clear as well.
PERSONAL SUPPORT THROUGH THE CHANGE
You’ll know who you’re working with.
You work directly with me. I’ve built and sold businesses, developed a cosmetics range and managed a team of more than 20 people. As a teacher of Arts and Digital Technologies, I also understand the value of a clear explanation and space to ask questions.
We talk through the priorities, agree the design direction and review the work together. Before launch, we work through the content, links, forms and device layouts in the agreed scope. Handover and ongoing support are discussed so you know what happens after the redesign.

BEFORE WE BEGIN
Helpful answers for your redesign.
Can you improve my existing WordPress website?
Often, yes. I first need to understand the theme, editor, content and features already in place. We can then discuss which improvements are practical within the current website and whether a rebuild would be a better fit.
Can I keep my domain name?
A redesign does not automatically require a new domain. We discuss your current domain and hosting arrangements as part of the project. If hosting or email connections need to change, those dependencies need to be planned before launch.
Will a redesign affect my Google rankings?
It can. Changes to content, page addresses and structure can affect search visibility. Keeping useful information, planning redirects and checking key pages reduces avoidable problems, but no designer can guarantee that rankings will stay the same or improve.
Do I have to replace my logo and brand?
No. If your current identity still feels right, we can work with it. A more consistent use of fonts, colours, images and page layouts may be enough. A separate brand refresh can be discussed if the identity itself needs attention.
What does a website redesign cost?
The quote depends on the size and condition of the current site, the content changes, functionality and support required. Send your website address and a short explanation of what you want to improve for a free personalised quote.
How long does a redesign take?
The schedule depends on the scope, content readiness, technical dependencies and review process. Let me know about any important dates when you enquire. We agree the timing after looking at what the project involves.
What should I send with my enquiry?
Your website address, the main problems you want to solve and any features you need to keep are a helpful start. You can also share examples you like and a budget or timeframe you want us to work within.
Read the website redesign checklist before you begin. If you are building your first site, explore website design. For help deciding on the bigger direction, consider business consulting.
